Senior Minister

Rev. Shane Isner grew up in Colorado, attended the University of Chicago Divinity School, was ordained in Indiana (Iglesia del Pueblo Christian Church), and has ministered in Lexington, KY and the suburbs of Minneapolis, MN.
 
His church passions include blending progressive theology with deep spirituality and social justice. His beyond-church passions include his wife, Rev. Tabitha Isner, and their middle school-aged son, Tymari. He coaches both youth club soccer (Alabama FC) and high school soccer (Montgomery Catholic Men's Varsity head coach). He also loves watching football - both American (go Denver Broncos!) and global (go Minnesota United FC!)- when he's not training for marathons, serving on community non-profit boards, or cooking for his family. Choir Director

FCC is excited to welcome Martha Morgan as our new Choir Director! Martha is originally from Pensacola and Gulf Breeze Florida but has called Montgomery home for close to three decades. Martha has sung in various church choirs and community choruses for more decades than she cares to count and is currently a member of the Madrigal Voices of Montgomery and occasionally sings with the River Region Rainbow Chorus. She is retired after spending 20 years in the commercial printing industry but her first love is working with nonprofit organizations. Habitat for Humanity International, the Family Sunshine Center, Aid to Inmate Mothers, and PFLAG are just a few organizations she supports. 




Office Manager

Gerri Johnson loved FCC first as a member, joining its staff early in 2020. She brings experience organizing offices and workflows, understanding and managing financials, and facilitating relationships with a deep heart and listening ear. A former licensed minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Gerri further understands the unique needs of church work, particularly one that embraces the inclusive and progressive values of FCC-Montgomery. She embraces change rapidly; she respects wisdom earnestly; she follows Jesus tenaciously. And as an USAF veteran, she serves with discipline and integrity, by which FCC is incredibly blessed.  Gerri can be reached by calling the church office or by e-mailing admin@fccmontgomery.org.

Nursery Worker

Christie Wells has been caring for our toddlers and babies since October 2019. She came to us from a Disciples congregation in Virginia where she was involved in Children and Youth ministries. She is the mother of four young men and retired after 23 years of service as the Office Manager for the Portsmouth Virginia Public School's Medical Department. Christie is passionate about child-care and her goal is to allow every person attending FCC to thoroughly enjoy worship, including our little ones. Like all our Nursery workers, Christie has been background checked and stays up to date on both Covid and Tdap immunizations.
